Hydrogen Advertising named a PSBJ “Best Workplace”
Last night, agency co-owners Mary Knight and Michael McGrath “rounded the bases” at T-Mobile Park to accept Hydrogen’s award as number 18 in the small company category of 2023Puget Sound Business Journal’s“Best Workplaces.” While awards were given to all top 100 companies in small, medium, large and extra-large categories, competition was particularly fierce in the small company category, with thousands of entries from the Puget Sound area. In addition, Hydrogen was the only area advertising agency named to the top 100 list.
It all started last spring, when Hydrogen’s team completed an anonymous survey that included a total of 30 items across six categories, ranking the overall company culture through work life balance, benefits, goal setting, development opportunities and trust in leadership. Questions were answered on a six-point scale from strongly disagree to strongly agree. The result? Hydrogen has been named one of the top 25 small businesses in our region.
“My business partner, Michael McGrath and I are so appreciative of the amazing team that drives Hydrogen’s heart, soul, and success,” said President, Mary Knight. “We believe our adaptable remote workplace, combined with scheduled office ‘together time’, not only empowers our team to better manage work/life balance, but also gives us the power to hire the best people for our clients—including those who have commitments that make it hard to be tied to a desk from 9-5.”
