Welcome to Hydrogen!

There are a myriad of reasons why joining Hydrogen Advertising was a great decision, but one stands out above all: they mean what they say. The through line at Hydrogen is authenticity and follow-through. It shows up in every project we touch and every interaction we have. Hydrogen means it.

First Impressions

When Hydrogen says “employees come first,” they mean it. There’s no fine print or caveats. We’re encouraged to do what’s best for ourselves and our lives outside of work. Need to duck out early to catch a kid’s baseball game? Great. They want you to—because they understand that the best work happens when people feel energized and valued. And valued we are.

That sense of trust isn’t earned over time—it’s granted from the start. We’re given the tools and support we need to succeed, and we’re empowered to speak up if something’s missing. We’re not micromanaged. We’re trusted to do our jobs well, and we rise to meet that trust.

The same goes for ideas. I was encouraged to contribute from the start. There’s no hierarchy when it comes to sharing thoughts. No ego. Just real collaboration and curiosity. It’s about what’s best for the work, the team, and the client—and when everyone’s voice is heard, the outcome is better for all.

The Biggest (& Best) Shock

The biggest—and frankly, best—surprise about life at Hydrogen is that it’s the opposite of performative. Hydrogen walks the walk.

Take work-life balance. Every company claims to value it. Yet, very few can achieve it in practice. I started to believe Hydrogen might be different during my very first week. I had two can’t-miss appointments and came into my meeting with my supervisor ready with a whole speech: I’d work early, stay late, have my phone on me, and submit a PTO form—whatever was needed. My boss’s response? A casual: “No worries, sounds good.”

That was it. No guilt. No overcomplication. Just trust. At Hydrogen, we’re expected to be good humans first and good employees second. And that starts with taking care of yourself.

A Culture of Support

Another phrase I hear often is, “How can I support you?” And it’s not just something people say. Whether it’s a creative block, a tight deadline, or just a tough day, that question is real—and the support that follows is, too.

Through daily conversations and thoughtful check-ins, no one falls through the cracks. We look out for each other. This isn’t a solo mission—it’s a team that respects, encourages, and genuinely cares for one another.

The culture at Hydrogen isn’t accidental. It’s intentional. And it only works if everyone is on board. And here? Everyone is.
